Problematic billing and delayed system installation

Months after us paying a $25,000 deposit for the project—for which we were having to make monthly loan payments—Achieve Renewable Energy LLC had still not installed the geothermal system in our home. And in her deposition testimony under oath, another customer explained that she had the same experience with Achieve Renewable Energy LLC. They took a deposit from her on which she was having to make loan payments, and did not install the system for several months thereafter. You can read or download that excerpt from her deposition transcript here:

One of the more aggravating and time-consuming problems I had during Achieve Renewable Energy LLC’s project to install a geothermal system in our home was their repeatedly billing me for money I did not owe. By August 2018 I emailed Achieve Renewable Energy about the delay in system installation, repeatedly billing me for money I did not owe, and other problems:

Despite my complaint about their billing me for money I did not owe, they continued to do that on subsequent occasions for different amounts. Thus, on November 2nd of that year I emailed them again with specifics and asked Achieve Renewable Energy LLC to stop billing me for money I did not owe:

But even that did not get Achieve Renewable Energy LLC to correct their wrongful billing. Later that month, without having corrected their erroneous billing, they nagged me to fill out forms so they could get money from a state agency. I replied that I expected them to correct their billing first like I had previously asked them to do:

And in an email exchange he had with Larry Lessard of Achieve Renewable Energy LLC, another customer communicated his concerns about their billing him:

As for Larry Lessard’s response to that customer that he did “not accept” the customer’s “criticism”, I was not surprised by that sort of attitude and tone Mr. Lessard took in response to the customer’s criticism. In my experience, Mr. Lessard was sometimes callous and contemptuous in response to my complaints and concerns—more so after Achieve Renewable Energy LLC took my deposit than before they had my money.
