Complaints about Achieve Renewable Energy LLC’s geothermal system installations

During the course of my lawsuit against Achieve Renewable Energy LLC and its director Lawrence “Larry” Lessard for their botched installation of a geothermal system in my home, I discovered that multiple other customers had several of the same sort of complaints I had about Achieve Renewable Energy LLC’s performance. The complaints and problems that I and other geothermal system customers of Achieve Renewable Energy LLC had included (use the below links to read more details on each issue):

Moreover, I had several additional complaints about Achieve Renewable Energy LLC’s replacement of our home’s old central heating and cooling systems with a new, supposedly much more energy efficient geothermal system (use the below links to read more details on each issue):

  • Multiple electrical code violations that their subcontractor committed and left us with that they did not tell me about and that I had to discover on my own months after the system installation. Having a more competent electrician fix those code violations cost me thousands of dollars out of my own pocket.
  • Their ducting subcontractor did the work without the required permit and inspection. When I learned of this months later on my own, I also discovered that they attached the ground source heat pump to uninsulated ducting in my unconditioned basement, which the manufacturer WaterFurnace’s installation manual said would adversely affect the performance of the system.
  • Despite it being stated in my signed contract and email messages with Achieve Renewable Energy LLC that they would handle permits and inspections, they failed to do so on both the electrical and ducting work. Lawrence “Larry” Lessard offered no apology and blamed his subcontractors.
  • Another complaint I communicated to Achieve Renewable Energy LLC during the geothermal system installation project at my home was that they left an open trench across my crescent driveway, thereby cutting off half my driveway and forcing us to exit our driveway at a blind curve in the road—which endangered us. Despite my photographing that situation and communicating my complaint about the safety hazard to them by email, they took a whole week to fill in the trench.
